The Whangarei SPCA at a glance
We are open 9am to 4pm Monday to Friday, Saturday and Sunday 10am to 3pm. Our centre is located on Kioreroa Road, next to the Re:Sort centre and Cowleys
The area we cover (our inspectorate) stretches all the way north to Towai, south to Te Hana, and west to Tangiteroria
Around 3000 animals are brought to our centre each year and each year we investigate around – 500-600 animal abuse complaints
We receive a small amount of funding from the Government towards welfare investigations, but no financial help from Whangarei District Council, the Northland Regional Council and are not eligible for Lotteries Grants
We could not exist without volunteers and donations from the public!
