Adoption Fees

Our adoption fees include vaccination, worming, flea control, veterinary checks, desexing, tattoo and microchipping for dogs and puppies. We make no money from the adoption of animals, adoption fees help cover costs

Important Notice: For potential animals adopters.
If you are renting a property and enquiring about adopting an animal from the SPCA we need your landlord’s approval in writing before we can release the animal. Thank you for your understanding.

           

Pet Adoption Prices

Cats & Kittens

$75 - includes desexing, vaccination, vet check, flea and Worm control, microchip and ears tattooed.

Dogs & Puppies

Male over 3 months - $110.00
Females over 3 months - $140.00
Includes desexing, vaccination, vet check, flea and Worm control, microchip and ears tattooed.

WE STRONGLY RECOMMEND YOU REGISTER ON THE COMPANION ANIMAL REGISTER for $15

RABBITS - $20.00 includes vaccination and vet check

GUINEA PIGS - $10 includes vet check

RATS - $5.00

It is SPCA POLICY that all animals will be desexed before adoption.

*These prices do not include registration with the local council. All dogs must be registered before they leave the SPCA. We highly recommend microchipping of your cat

To adopt an animal from us you will have to arrange transport. This particularly applies to people living outside the Whangarei District.
